Quick Guide - Managing your account and preferences

You can access your account settings and ride preferences from Settings or under your name at the top of the screen.

Account settings

You can:

  • Modify your registration information (except your email address and organization, where applicable)
  • Upload or change your profile image
  • Change the language and display format to use in your ride intents
  • Set TwoGo notification preferences
  • Manage devices and apps connected to your TwoGo account

Preferences

You can set preferences relating to your ride intents:

  • Commuting preferences: Whether you want to be matched as a passenger or driver and how much detour time you are willing to accept as a driver
  • Who you want to avoid traveling with

The preferences you set are used as the basis for matching each subsequent ride intent that you create. However, you can always override your commuting preferences for a given ride intent by setting driver preferences when you create a ride intent.

Default Preferences

If you do not make any explicit changes, your default preferences will be set as follows:

  • Ride as passenger only
  • No car
  • No blocked people

Managing devices and apps connected to your TwoGo account

Viewing devices and apps connected to your account

Click on your name and select Account. In the Authorized Clients and Authorized Apps sections you can view which devices and apps you have granted access to your TwoGo account.

Blocking account access from a device

If you lose or change a device linked to your account, you should block that device's access to your account:

  1. Click on your name and select Account.
  2. In the Authorized Clients section, under TwoGo Mobile App client select Disconnect. This disconnects your account from all mobile devices. To reconnect from a device you must open the TwoGo app on the relevant device and log in again.

Setting language and display format

You can set the language, plus the date, time and distance formats in which you create, display and modify your ride intents.

  1. Click on your name and select Country settings.
  2. To change any of these settings, select the display option you prefer, then click Save.

Deleting your account

NOTE : If you delete your account, TwoGo cancels all your future ride intents and also erases all your user-specific data from past ride intents.

  1. Click on your name and select Account.
  2. Click Delete account, then confirm.

Setting commuting preferences

To indicate whether you want to be matched as a driver or passenger:

  1. Click on your name and select Ride preferences.
  2. In the Ride as section, select the role you want.
    • If you want to have the option of being a driver, TwoGo prompts you to add your car data and then selects the Either role for you.
    • If as a driver you never want to be matched as a passenger, select the Driver role.
  3. If you selected the role Driver or Either, set options to make your ride as convenient as possible:
    • Maximum detour: To avoid long detours to pick up or drop off passenger, you have the option to set how many minutes detour from your route you can tolerate. The minimum allowed is 3 minutes, the maximum is 99 and the default is 8.
    • Matching preferences: In the I prefer to section, select an option that strikes the balance you prefer between having the widest set of possible matches and restricting the number, length and location of stops you are prepared to make for passengers on your route.
  4. Click Save.

Setting and modifying car details

To add your car details:

  1. Click on your name and select Cars.
  2. Click user.quickguide.plus.png, then enter the model details, number of seats available for shared-ride passengers, and the license plate.
  3. (optional) Upload an image of your car to make it easier for your passengers to recognize your vehicle.
  4. Click Save. TwoGo adds your car details to your profile.
  5. (optional) Scroll to Ride preferences to set the following driver-only preferences, then click Save:
    • Maximum detour: The detours calculated in TwoGo are expressed in minutes rather than distance. This makes the estimate of the detour more precise. The minimum allowed is 3 minutes, the maximum is 99 minutes and the default is 8 minutes.
    • Pick up and drop off passengers: To avoid too many pick-up and drop-off stops in the middle of your shared ride, you can indicate that you only want to be matched with passengers who will share at least a specific portion (for example 75%) of the ride time with you. Select the option that best reflects how much of your journey you want potential passengers to share with you.

To modify your car details:

  1. Click on your name and select Cars.
  2. Select the car you want to change, modify the details, then click Save.

To delete your car details:

NOTES:

  • If you delete your car details, and don't have any other cars in your profile, TwoGo automatically restricts your commuting option to Passenger only and tries to find matches as a passenger for the ride intents you have scheduled as a potential driver.
  • If you have multiple cars in your profile and you delete one that has rides linked to it, TwoGo reassigns those ride intents to one of your other cars. If there are insufficient free seats in the newly assigned car, TwoGo runs the match again, removes the relevant passengers and informs them of the change.
  • If you have multiple cars in your profile and you delete your default car, TwoGo automatically makes the next car in your list the default.
  1. Click on your name and select Cars.
  2. Select the car you want to remove from your profile, then click Delete.

Restricting who you want to be matched with

You can restrict who you want to be matched with by gender, individual and organization (where applicable).

To share rides only with other women:

  1. Click on your name and select the Profile card.
  2. Ensure that you have set your gender as Female
  3. On the Ride preferences card, select the option Share rides only with women.
  4. Click Save.

To avoid traveling with a particular person, include him or her in your Blocked people list: NOTE: If you are a passenger in a shuttle service or any other vehicle with more than six people, TwoGo does not take into account your blocked people preferences.

  1. Click on your name and select Blocked people.
  2. On the Blocked people card, click Add.
  3. Enter the name of the person, then click Save.

To delete a person from your Blocked people list:

  1. Click on your name and select Blocked people.
  2. On the Blocked people card, click X adjacent to the name of the person you want to remove.

To share rides only with people from your organization: NOTE:

  • This option is only available if you signed up to TwoGo with your organization and it has chosen to include all TwoGo members.
  • If you designate a ride as a business trip, TwoGo automatically restricts you to only being matched with colleagues or a specific group within your organization (if applicable).
  1. Click on your name and select Ride preferences.
  2. Select the option restricting matching to your organization, then click Save.

Overriding preferences

If you want to override any of your commuting preferences for a particular ride, modify them in the driver preferences when you create a ride intent.
