In order to take part in a ride, you must first create a trip request in order to define the time, start and destination point and trip settings for your trip.
If the system finds a hit,
If TwoGo does not find a match for your desired journey, you will be given the opportunity to select a suggestion for an alternative journey (if available) if you are ready to accept minor changes to your original journey.
TwoGo offers two different modes for creating driving requests. On the one hand, there is a simplified chat mode that takes you step-by-step through the process, as well as an advanced mode for users who are already more familiar with the process. You can switch back and forth between the two modes by long-pressing the + symbol to create driving requests and selecting Chat or Advanced.
For new users and users who have not yet had any journeys in the system, the simplified mode is automatically set when creating a journey request. Simply follow the prompts on the screen to create your drive preference.
To create a new trip request in advanced mode, proceed as follows:
NOTE: For longer repetition periods (e.g. every 3rd of the month) we recommend setting up the trip request via your calendar.
ATTENTION: If you later change your role to "Passengers only", any changes you have made to your route will not be taken into account.
NOTE: After you have saved your travel request, it can take a while before a pool vehicle is assigned to you; therefore initially no details about the pool vehicle are displayed. Later, look again on the Settings for the journey card to see which pool vehicle has been assigned to you. Please also note the following: If an administrator uses the pool vehicle e.g. If, for example, it is removed from the system due to a sudden mechanical problem, you will only be informed that your pool vehicle is no longer available if you have configured TwoGo to send appointment requests to your preferred calendar app. If you have only activated SMS notifications, you will not receive any notification. For this reason, it is strongly recommended that you check the Settings for the journey card a few hours before the planned departure time to see whether the pool vehicle is still assigned to you. If the pool vehicle is no longer assigned to you, you have to delete your journey request and create a new one for the journey.
TwoGo adds your new travel request to the overview as a new map. If necessary, use the scroll buttons to navigate chronologically through your trips. In the case of serial travel requests, the travel requests you have set up for the next seven days are displayed in the overview. Furthermore, on the Repeat card, the last card in the overview, you will receive an overview of your series travel requests. If you have not canceled the TwoGo confirmations, TwoGo will send you an appointment request to confirm the journey you have created. The appointment request blocks your calendar from the earliest possible departure time to the latest possible arrival time that you have specified.
If TwoGo cannot find a suitable car pool for your journey, there may be alternative journeys, provided you are willing to accept minor changes to your original journey. You can view the list of alternatives either in the web application or via email notification (provided that you have not unsubscribed from this service).
All future travel requests that you have created - both those for which ridesharing opportunities were found and those for which none were found - are listed in the overview in chronological order. In the case of serial travel requests, the travel requests you have set up for the next seven days are displayed in the overview. Furthermore, on the Repeat card, the last card in the overview, you will receive an overview of your series travel requests.
You can change the role, the location, the time, the route and the travel settings for your travel preferences.
NOTE: If you edit or delete a trip request that you have created via your calendar, there will be inconsistencies with the calendar because the calendar entry is not updated.
