Management of your user account and your settings

You can access the settings for your user account and your trips either from the Settings tab or by clicking on your name in the top right corner of the image.

Settings for your user account

You have the following options:

  • Change registration information (except e-mail address and organization, if applicable)
  • Upload or change profile picture
  • Change the language and display format for your travel preferences
  • Define settings for TwoGo notifications
  • Manage devices and apps that are connected to your TwoGo user account
Preferences

You can make the following settings with regard to your travel preferences:

The settings you make here will serve as the basis for the search for suitable carpooling options for future travel requests that you create. However, you can override your travel settings for individual travel requests at any time by selecting the driver-specific default settings when you create a travel request.

default settings

Unless you make any specific changes, your standard settings are as follows:

  • Only drive as a passenger
  • No vehicle
  • No blocked people

Tasks

Edit personal information

  • Click your name and choose Settings.
  • To change your first or last name, enter your new information.
  • Choose Save.

Your changed name is shown in the picture above.

Upload or change profile picture

  • Click your name and choose Settings.
  • Select the PNG or JPEG image in your local file system that you want to use in your profile and drag it to the appropriate area on the Upload profile picture card.
  • Choose Save.

Your new picture will be displayed at the top of the picture next to your name and will also be displayed when you have created a journey.

Change password

  • Click your name and select User Account.
  • Choose Change Password.
  • Enter your current password, then choose a new one and confirm it.
  • Choose Save. TwoGo will send you a confirmation of the password change via email.

NOTE: If you forget your password, click the Forgot your password? link on the login page to generate a new password.

Change saved phone number

  • Click your name and choose Notifications.
  • Enter your new phone number in the Mobile Phone Number field, then select Save.
  • Choose Verify. NOTE: Even if you give this phone number to another TwoGo member who has already verified the number, you have to verify it separately for your user account.
  • Verify your phone number dialog box, click Send verification PIN. TwoGo then sends a verification PIN to the new phone number.
  • Enter the verification PIN and click Save. TwoGo will update your user account and mark your phone number as verified.

Subscribe and unsubscribe to email notifications

NOTE: TwoGo does not charge any fees for SMS notifications. Your telephone provider may charge costs for receiving SMS. You can obtain the relevant information from your service provider.

To receive driving information via SMS:

  • Click your name and select Notifications.
  • Make sure you have entered and verified a phone number that you can use to receive SMS. If this is not the case, first follow the instructions in the section Changing a saved telephone number.
  • Select an SMS option in the trip confirmations via area.

If you no longer want to receive TwoGo SMS notifications, do the following:

  • Click your name and select Notifications.
  • Select the Calendar email option in the Ride confirmations via area.
  • Choose Save.
Activate and deactivate TwoGo SMS notifications

NOTE: TwoGo does not charge any fees for SMS notifications. Your telephone provider may charge costs for receiving SMS. You can obtain the relevant information from your service provider.

  • Choose Save.

  • Click your name and select Notifications.
  • Select the Calendar email option in the Ride confirmations via area.
  • Choose Save.

View devices and apps connected to your TwoGo user account

Click your name and select User Account. In the Authorized Clients and Authorized Apps areas, you can see which devices and apps you have granted access to your TwoGo user account.

Block access to the user account for a device

If you lose or change a device connected to your user account, you should block this device's access to your user account:

  • Click on your name and select User account.
  • the Authorized Clients area under TwoGo Mobile App Client, select the Disconnect option. This will separate your user account from all mobile devices. To reconnect from a device, you need to open the TwoGo app on that device and log in again.
Set language and display

You can change the language settings of the app and adapt the format of the time, date and distance to your preferences.

  • Click your name and select Country Specific Settings.
  • To change these settings, select your preferred display option and then select Save.
Delete your user account

NOTE: If you delete your user account, TwoGo cancels all your future travel requests and deletes your user-specific data from previous travel requests.

  • Click your name and select User Account.
  • Select Delete user account and confirm your entry.
Define travel settings

To indicate whether you want to be considered as a driver or passenger:

  • Click your name and select Settings for the journey.
  • the Drive as area, select your desired role
    • If you would like to be able to be a driver, TwoGo asks you to add your vehicle data and then marks the role of both for you .
    • If you as a driver and never want to be considered as a passenger, mark the role of driver.
  • If you have selected the role of driver or driver / passenger, define the appropriate options to make your journey as comfortable as possible:
    • Maximum Detour: To avoid long detours when picking up or dropping off passengers, you have the option of specifying how many minutes you would take as a detour. The minimum allowed is 3 minutes, the maximum is 99 and the default is 8.
    • Settings for possible suggestions: In the I prefer area, select an option that is a suitable compromise between the largest possible number of hits and the limitation of the Represents the number, length and location of stops you are willing to make for passengers on your route.
  • Choose Save.
Define and change vehicle details

To add your vehicle details:

  • Click your name and select Vehicles.
  • Select user.quickguide.plus.png , and then enter the details of your model, the number of seats available for passengers and the vehicle registration number.
  • (Optional) Upload a picture of your vehicle so that your passengers can see it more easily.
  • Choose Save. TwoGo adds your vehicle details to your profile.
  • (Optional) Scroll to Settings for the ride to make the following settings for the driver, then select Save:
    • Maximum detour: The one calculated in TwoGo Detours are given in minutes rather than distance. This makes the estimate of the detour more accurate. The minimum allowed is 3 minutes, the maximum is 99 minutes, and the default is 8 minutes.
    • Picking up and dropping off passengers: In order to avoid too many pick-up and drop-off stops during your ride, you can specify that you will only be suggested passengers who have a certain minimum share (e.g. 75%) of the travel time spend with you. Choose the option that best reflects what portion of your journey you would spend with passengers, if any.

To change your vehicle information:

  • Click your name and select Vehicles.
  • Select the vehicle that you want to change, make the changes, and then select Save.

How to delete the information about the vehicle:

NOTES:

  • If you have changed your information about the If you delete a vehicle and there are no other vehicles in your profile, TwoGo automatically restricts your travel settings to the option as a passenger and searches for suitable car pools as a passenger for all travel requests that you have planned as a potential driver.
  • If there are several vehicles in your profile and you delete one with which journeys are connected, TwoGo will reassign these journey requests to one of your other vehicles. If there are not enough free spaces in the newly assigned vehicle, TwoGo carries out another match search, removes the corresponding passengers and informs them of the change.
  • If there are several vehicles in your profile and you delete the standard vehicle, the next vehicle in the list will automatically become the standard.
  • Click your name and choose Vehicles.
  • Select the vehicle that you want to remove from the profile, then select Delete.
Limit who you want to ride with

You can place restrictions on your passengers based on gender, person, or organization (if applicable).

To only be considered for ridesharing with other women, do the following:

  • Click on your name and select the Profile card.
  • Make sure that you have selected female as the gender.
  • On the Settings tab, select the option Only women can be rideshared.
  • Choose Save.

If you do not want to travel with certain people, enter them in the list of blocked people: NOTE: If you are traveling with a shuttle service or a vehicle If you are more than six people, your settings regarding blocked people will not be taken into account by TwoGo.

  • Click your name and choose Blocked People.
  • On the Blocked People card, click Add.
  • Enter the person's name, then select Save.

To delete someone from your list of blocked people:

  • Click their name and select Blocked People.
  • On the Blocked People card, click the X next to the name of the person you want to remove from the list.

In order to only be considered for ridesharing with people from your organization, proceed as follows: NOTE:

  • This option is only available if you have registered with TwoGo with your organization and this has decided to allow journeys with all TwoGo members.
  • If you identify a trip as a business trip, TwoGo automatically restricts your options to only show trips with colleagues or a specific group within your organization (if applicable).
  • Click your name and select Drive Settings.
  • Select the option that restricts ridesharing to your organization, then select Save.
Override settings

If you want to override the trip settings for a particular trip, change them when creating a trip request under driver-specific presettings.
